DOMINGO DE INFLUENCIAS, EL CATORCE DE JUNIO, DOS MIL NUEVE
HAVE JUST GOT BACK FROM WELLINGTON AND THREE EXHIBITION OPENINGS...TOTALLY EXHAUSTED. HERE'S A PHOTO OF A PAINTING I'VE COPIED A COUPLE OF TIMES - ONCE FOR A PAINTING CALLED CONTEMPORARY SKULLDUGGERY AND NOW FOR A BIG DOUBLE-SIDED PAINTING THAT IS PART OF A LARGE INSTALLATION FOR AN UPCOMING SHOW. THE PAINTING'S BY ANDRES LOPEZ AND DEPICTS SAINT TERESA OF AVILA, 1786. THIS PAINTING IS PART OF A SERIES OF SAINTS. THIS ONE INTERESTS ME BECAUSE OF THE DIAGONAL CROPPING, THE STRETCHER MUST HAVE BEEN CUSTOM-MADE TO FIT INTO A SPECIFIC AREA OF THE CHURCH ALTAR
